Valentine’s Day is easily the most romantic day of the year and what better way to spend it than with the ones you love the most. Whether you’re hitched, halfway or heavily single, we have all your go to Valentine’s must do’s and must haves. Before we get into the bread, benefits and booze, does anyone know where Valentine’s day even originated?

Dating back to Ancient Roman origins, the holidays were celebrated in Rome, a festival with the name of Lupercalia. The primary idea of the festival showcased the upcoming of spring, however, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery, held annually in mid-February. At the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius I, interchanged Lupercalia with St. Valentine’s Day. It further evolved into a day devoted to celebrating unconditional love and romance from about the 14th century.

Now let’s ditch the history lesson and get to what everyone’s been waiting for…

Here at GAT we have collated everything you need to know about where you need to go and what you need to buy, in order to spoil the most important person in your life this Valentine’s Day.
